We can add this one to Foxe's Book Of Emergents With Hurt Feelings. Also, can you feel the love Rob Bell has for the people who point out his blatant heresies:
Here is a fairly accurate interpretation of what Rob Bell was really saying:
Dear Rob, if you want to call yourself a Christian minister, and then produce material that teaches heresy, and then sell it publicly at a good profit, and ridicule central Christian doctrines like the atonement, and slander the many faithful open air preachers out there, then you are fair game. The only surprise is that it took so long for you to exposed for what you are - an enemy of the cross of Jesus Christ.
Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame; who set their mind on earthly things. (Philippians 3:17-20)
Beloved, I would rather have a thousand devils out of the church, than have one in it. I do not care about all the adversaries outside; our greatest cause of fear is from the crafty "wolves in sheep's clothing," that devour the flock. It is against such that we would denounce in holy wrath the solemn sentence of divine indignation, and for such we would shed our bitterest tears of sorrow. They are "the enemies of the cross of Christ" - C.H. Spurgeon
I hope that Rob Bell repents and puts his trust in the One True Christ of Scripture (not the one of his imagination) and then disappears from the public spotlight.

The NEW EXODUS SERIES BY ROB BELL
http://paulglavic.wordpress.com/2008/10/15/rob-bell-on-new-exodus-and-the-western-church/
PREACHED AT KBC, HEAD TO MEDIA SECTION
Does Rob Bell even address the issues at hand here, I mean does he talk about the teachings he has espoused ? Does he defend his book and the thoughts it carries from a Biblically stand point! Does he say "Well, the Bible says ....!"
Because in this interview he comes across as a wee bit "girly".
I understand he has hurt feelings, I wouldn't feel so good myself if John MacArthur and friends had to single me out and then blasted me with the Word of God exposing my grievous error and blatant, shameless deception to all of God's creation. I've got to say that would sting a wee bit, just a bit!!
But!
Did he then go back to the Book and search out the Scriptures to see if these thing were so? If so, lets hear what the Bible says!
From the interview it sounds like Rob Bell’s wife is smarter than he is. Maybe he should listen to her more.
But I just want to make one thing clear Just because he claims to be on the same team, does not mean he is on the same team. I think I have said this before Rob Bell does not understand who God is, what Biblical Love is or what the gospel is.
I have no doubt that Rob Bell is sincere in his beliefs, but he is sincerely wrong. His teachings are not Christian and not new and have been discounted and condemned over and over by Biblical Christians and Orthodox Christianity. Just because he uses the name Jesus does not mean he is Christian no mater how many times he says it. Just look at Mormons and Jehovah witnesses, Would probably agree with most of the things Rob Bell says about Jesus but they are far from Christian.
Rob Bell is leading people astray and he will have to answer for this, I pray for Rob Bell that God would show him his errors and that he would Repent of his false Teaching.
Matthew, which KBC are you talking about?
Kyle, why don't you read the book, there's plenty of Bible quotes in it, and I haven't seen those addressed yet. I'm guessing Cameron hasn't even read the book he feels so comfortable condemning. Cameron, he doesn't say there is no hell, and why do you feel comfortable saying he hates the gospel? I don't agree with everything he says but it seems like he truly believes this is what God has put on his heart. Love your neighbor and let God judge the hearts and intentions of man. And just out of curiosity, it's ok for ray comfort to make profit off the gospel, but not someone you disagree with?
I just don't understand the arrogance. I learn more new things about the Bible every year. I thought I knew it all, then I moved to Israel, and learned so much more.
Anonymous, you are really way out of line with a lot of your comments here. This is why I haven't responded to you thus far along with the fact that you take cheap shots and won't even name yourself.
Ray Comfort is a personal friend who lives a very modest life. I know this for a fact. Furthermore, unlike Rob Bell he is not a heretic.
Rob Bell quotes Bible verses but then so does Satan. I'll listen to Rob Bell when he starts quoting them in context. He can't even get Luther in context.
Rob Bell hates the Gospel because he has utter disdain for the doctrine of Penal Substitutionary Atonement and openly mocks it.
Rob Bell does deny hell as it has been understood throughout church history. He redefines it in his own ridiculous biblically unfounded terms. That is the loophole he exploits and it seems to fool some people.
Rob Bell is the only arrogant person here in this forum. Everyone else is submitting to the plain teaching of Scripture and agreeing with church history. Rob Bell is the extremely arrogant one who says nobody really knows what the Gospel really is and in the same breath says with certainty that Hebrews was a woman. Who is this clown and why do people listen to him?
Bell also does a good job of giving the impression that he accurately understands Jewish culture. I know Jews who strongly disagree. Furthermore, a lot of the rabbinical traditions flat out contradict Scripture which is why it is a dangerous practice to understand true Christianity through that lens.
Anonymous, if you want to post here again then name yourself and back what you say biblically.
